Money in your account
The lender sends the money straight to your bank account. Please allow up to 30 minutes.
These are the usual times. Every lender makes its own decision, and acceptance is never guaranteed.
Open Every Day, All Year Round
Payouts happen around the clock, 365 days a year, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Some lenders are a little slower than others, and a few close on bank holidays, but a lender that is closed simply won't make you an offer. So if you are accepted, that lender is open that day and ready to pay out.
What Can Slow It Down?
When a payment is delayed, it is almost always down to one of these two things.
Details that need correcting
If your bank details or other information are entered incorrectly, the lender has to correct them by hand before the money can be sent, which takes time.
Security codes not returned
To confirm it really is you, the lender sends a security code by text. The money can't be released until that code has been entered, so a code left waiting means money left waiting.
How To Get Your Money As Fast As Possible
- Have your bank account number and sort code to hand, and double-check them before you submit.
- Keep your mobile phone with you so you can enter the lender's security code as soon as it arrives.
- Give the same details you use elsewhere – your name, address and mobile number exactly as your bank has them.
- Apply when you have a few minutes free to finish everything in one go.
Quick, But Never Rushed
Speed is useful, but take a moment over the important part. Before you accept, read the lender's offer – the amount, the term, the monthly repayment, the total you will repay and the APR. There is no obligation to take the offer, and if you change your mind after signing, you have 14 days to withdraw from the agreement, paying back the money plus interest for the time you had it.
Quick Loan Questions
Can I get a loan at the weekend or on a bank holiday?
Yes. Our lenders pay out around the clock, every day of the year. If a lender is closed, it won't make you an offer, so any offer you receive comes from a lender that is open and able to pay out that day.
Is a quick loan the same as a payday loan?
No. Loans through Quick Loans are personal loans from £100 to £3,500, repaid in instalments over three months to three years. "Quick" is about how fast the decision and payout are, not how quickly you have to pay it back.
Will a quick application hurt my credit score?
No. Checking your options with us uses a soft search, and that leaves your credit score as it is. Only when you accept a lender's offer may that lender run a full credit check.
I've been accepted but the money hasn't arrived – what should I do?
First, check you have entered the security code the lender sent to your mobile. If 30 minutes have passed and the money still isn't there, contact your lender, and if you can't get an answer, contact us – we will chase it up for you.
Can I get a quick loan with bad credit?
Possibly. Some of our lenders consider applicants with missed payments or CCJs. Our bad credit loans page explains what lenders look at and how much it makes sense to borrow.
