We are aware that a group of individuals are cold calling people and claiming to be from certain legitimate loan providers like ourselves. They advise the victim that all they need to do is pay the first installment upfront by money transfer and a loan will forwarded for them. This of course is a scam, they do not represent the companies, they don't have any cash to lend. Anyone that sends money to these people will lose their cash.

Never pay upfront for a loan, you will lose your money. Lenders such as Quick Loans are falling over themselves to offer people loans, we don't need to ask for payment upfront and neither does anyone other legitimate lender. The only and we do mean only time you would ever pay upfront is for something like a secured loan on a house where a surveyor or alike would have to come to your property.

What we do know is that these individuals behind this loan scam are based in India and ask for money to be transferred by Money Gram or similar. They also have a UK phone number, but this is just a redirect service that individuals can purchase. They can set these up for around £10 and then shut them down a week later, the number simply redirects to India.

We are aware of over 100 people that have been scammed by them in the last year, so if you have been scammed you won't be alone. unfortunately the Police seem unwilling or unable to do anything about it, but this is a huge scam and we estimate just by people that have come forward to us, this group has defrauded people out of over £50,000 in the last year.
